Summary descriptions of the most common disabilities in low and middle income countries. Kupenda for the Children is registered in the U.S. and Kuhenza for the Children is registered in Kenya. As our own nonprofit organizations, we report to our respective national governments, manage our own operational funds, and are overseen by our own boards of directors. Each year, Kuhenza and Kupenda collaboratively fundraise to support our joint projects.
Our members have thrived through a variety of training programs—developing valuable skills in areas such as cooking, baking, cleaning, mosaic art, and eco-block production. Beyond skill-building, these opportunities have fostered confidence, independence, and teamwork, empowering our youth to take greater control of their futures.
