We are pleased to invite you to a virtual youth dialogue, “Youth Leadership in Action; from the GDS2025 Youth Call to Action to GDS2028”, happening on 21 October 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM CET.
At the Global Disability Summit 2025 in Berlin, youth with disabilities came together around a common agenda for change through the Youth Call to Action for the GDS2025. Developed through consultations with youth with disabilities across the world, the Call to Action reflects their priorities, lived experiences and demands for greater inclusion, rights and leadership.
As we look towards GDS2028, this dialogue will provide a space for youth with disabilities to move from identifying priorities to considering how we can collectively turn them into concrete action.
The dialogue will bring together youth with disabilities from different regions and networks to reflect on the Youth Call to Action, identify priority areas for focused collective action towards GDS2028, and begin shaping a youth lead approach to implementation.
Date: Wednesday, 21 October 2026
Time: 2:00–4:00 PM CET
Format: Virtual- Kindly register for the dialogue using this link.
Please note that the closed captions, International Sign (IS) interpretation, and Spanish and French language interpretation will be available during the dialogue.
This is an important opportunity for youth with disabilities to shape the next phase of the Youth Call to Action and ensure that the journey towards GDS2028 is driven by youth representation and by meaningful youth leadership and action. We hope you will join us and bring your perspectives, ideas, and energy to this conversation.
Please feel free to share this invitation with youth with disabilities and relevant youth organisations, networks, and advocates who may be interested in participating.
We look forward to welcoming you to the dialogue.
