We are pleased to invite you to the fourth session of the RI Academy webinar series, organised in the framework of the 20th anniversary of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UN-CRPD).
Date: June 24th
Time: 2:00PM CET
Registration: https://events.teams.microsoft.com/event/6360a2d5-079b-4819-b273-b95af9df4744@de2a411a-8acd-4ec2-9ecb-63768c281d43
Building on key insights and discussions from COSP 19, this session explores how the international commitments made around disability-inclusive education can be translated into concrete classroom practice.

Drawing on over two decades of experience, Ms. Tuli will guide participants from understanding inclusion to implementing it, addressing welcoming learning environments, systemic and attitudinal barriers, teaching methodologies for diverse learners, and the collaborative roles of teachers, families, and communities. Real-life success stories from Amar Jyoti School will illustrate the impact of a system-centred approach, one that shifts the focus from attempting to “fix” the child to strengthening the system itself.

What You Will Learn
Concrete strategies for creating inclusive and welcoming learning environments
How to identify and address systemic and attitudinal barriers to inclusion
Adapted teaching methodologies for children with diverse learning needs, including those with disabilities
The role of early intervention, accessibility, and assessment practices
Collaborative engagement among teachers, parents, special educators, and communities
Real-life success stories and case studies from Amar Jyoti Charitable Trust, India
