The World Health Organization (WHO), the International Disability Alliance (IDA), the Global Disability Fund (formerly, the UNPRPD), and the International Disability and Development Consortium (IDDC) are co-hosting an event on Health equity for persons with disabilities under the auspices of the Global Disability Summit 2025.

This event will take place on 6 February 2025 from 13.00 to 14.00 CET at WHO headquarters, Geneva, in a hybrid format.

The objective is to galvanize recognition and commitments on disability inclusion in health, to advance health equity for persons with disabilities in the lead-up to the Global Disability Summit (2–3 April 2025). This recognition is crucial to stimulate the political prioritization needed by health and disability actors, including heads of states and government representatives, ministers, civil society leaders, organizations of persons with disabilities, heads of international organizations, mainstream health actors and academic partners.

International Sign Language interpretation, and live captioning and interpretation into the 6 UN official languages will be available.
