1st Class Honors, Bachelor of Community Development and Social Justice, 2024 Kyambogo University, Uganda
After high school Steven was initially admitted to study Bachelor of Medicine in one of the Public Universities in Uganda. However, he had a problem with his eyesight and in an attempt to operate it, he totally lost sight and became totally blind.
He was referred to Kyambogo University in 2021 after staying home for three (3) years without studies and lacking appropriate rehabilitation services. He was offered basic training and support services at the visual assistive technology unit https://fsnr.kyu.ac.ug/the-all- we-see-is-possibility-awsip-programme/ in the Faculty of Special Needs and Rehabilitation (FSNR) https://fsnr.kyu.ac.ug/ Kyambogo University, Uganda.
Steven was supported to apply and admitted in 2021 to pursue a Bachelor of Community Development and
Social Justice https://fsnr.kyu.ac.ug/bachelor-of-community-development-and- social-justice-csd-cse/ at Kyambogo University.
Steven also received various additional support services from the University Disability Support Services Centre during his studies. With his lively, humorous personality and intellect Steven amassed a network of friends physically and on social media platforms where he engages in fascinating reflections over diverse societal issues. He turned his vibrant social personality into an asset that eased his academic journey and social life. Today, December 10th, 2024, on the 20th Graduation Ceremony Steven graduated with a First-Class Honors Bahcleors degree in Community Development and Social Justice of, Kyambogo University. You would desire to meet Steven and even consider having him in your organizational team because he has developed great competencies for office and field-based work in serving humanity.
