COVID-19 IMPACT ON SURVIVORS AND PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES IN AFGHANISTAN
Since outbreak of the Covid 19 in Sept 2019 in China and the world, more than 25 million people have infected now and more than 8 hundred thousand people have died as a result of the virus all over the world (the number is increasing daily). The virus is still spreading and taking lives of people at any corner in the world. The pandemic almost paralyzed the economy of the world as a whole.
To save lives of people, the governments around the world took preventive measures against the spread of the virus, including Afghan government. Schools, companies, markets and borders were closed by the authorities. People were staying at homes, but the virus was making its health, social and economic damages on the people. The measures of some governments have been successful in some countries, but not all. Tens of thousands of people lost their lives and lost their jobs and faced economic problems. The economy growth of the countries slowed down, peoples lost their jobs, business closed down, impacting the most vulnerable groups, especially persons with disabilities.
