Professor Sally Hartley

Prof. Hartley significantly advanced the field of Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) and Community-Based Inclusive Development (CBID). Her research has been instrumental in developing participatory approaches that promote equal access for disabled people in low-income countries. As a founding member and Executive Director of the CBR Africa Network (CAN) for 10 years, she played a crucial role in shaping the organization’s impact. Additionally, her contributions as an author and editor of the WHO/IDDC CBR guidelines, as well as the WHO’s World Report on Disability
